Dr. Dre - Let Me Ride, Still DRE & Xplosive
Bone Thugs 'N Harmony - BNK
The Game - One Blood
Petey Pablo & Kurupt - Off the Chain
Ice Cube - It Was a Good Day, No Vaseline & Go To Church
Jay-Z - Money Ain't a Thing & Dirt Off Your Shoulders

A lot of this is commercial but if you want shit with really good beats for the car, that's basically what you need. That's a good double album right there.

Anything off the album The In Sound From The Way Out by Beastie Boys. It's their instrumental album, and it's perfect for crusing.

Nekromantix: Haunted Cathouse, Nekronomicon
Chuck Berry: Wee Wee Hours, No Money Down, Guitar Boogie
In fact, just listen to the entire Chuck Berry Gold album.
After reading all that everyone else has posted, I realize that's probably not what you're looking for, but that's what I consider a good cruise.

Sublime - Doin' Time
Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song, Plush
AC/DC - Stiff Upper Lip, Highway To Hell (the whole album)
Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart, Dr. Feelgood
Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds, Gave Up
Weezer - Hash Pipe
Practically all Tom Petty songs
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Buckcherry - Crazy Bitch
not all necessarily tunes with bumping bass, though through a sub they can be.

It was a good day doesn't have much bass at all.
Depends on your tastes, if you like mainstream shit, go for the lil jon songs ( every album out there has a song with him in it ), rick ross, or those other shits I know nothing about.

It's not the bass that makes the song good for the car, it's the beat and theme to it. It does have bass though, I don't know what kind of system you have but on mine you can hear the heavy bass kicks in it.

Well I usally listen to Incubus or Tool when I just want to ride around. But if you're looking for some hip-hop, Youngbloodz - 85 is a good driving song. Some others are Notorious f. Bone Thugz n Harmony - Notorious Thugz, Nas - Affirmative Action, Nas - You're the Man, 2pac - Ambitions as a Ridah, The Roots - You got Me, The Roots - Hurricane. Those are some good songs to ride to.

Whatever system, there's no heavy bass on that song. But I can see how it's a good song for cruising.
And I can't see how any tupac song is good for driving. Really. Driving is not about good lyrics it's about bass and beat, and tupac doesn't fit that at all.

There's no bassline in the song, but there are bass kicks.
Have you ever even heard the All Eyez on Me album? It had one of the best production teams in rap history. Download Picture Me Rollin' and tell me it doesn't have bass and beat to cruise to. Every person who likes rap that I know will tell you the top 3 albums to play in the car are All Eyez On Me, The Chronic and Life After Death.
I think you need to get your ears checked if you think the most commercially successful rapper in history made it big without good beats, hell, most of his haters even say he only made it big because he had such good beats.
