This is an odd week for me, I picked all road teams.
Pittsburgh over Atlanta- The Steelers are probably back on pace, and any team with a half decent pass rush is going to get five sacks against Vick. They should be able to stop Dunn as well.
Carolina over Cincinnati- I hope I'm wrong, but the Bengals O-Line isn't there right now, and that's not a good thing when you have to face the Panthers. I hope I'm wrong on this one though.
San Diego over Kansas City- I could see KC winning this game, but the Chargers are the second best team in my opinion. Until further notice, I'm going to pick them to win most of their games, right up to the Super Bowl.
Minnesota over Seattle- I think the Vikings' defense will stop the 'Hawks, and Minnesota will get a close win in the fourth.
Giants over Dallas- The D-line of the Giants should have a great game, and I can see Barber having a hundred and fifty yards. Defense and running the ball almost always results in a win.
Last week: 3-2
Season: 12-4
Nick is cool

Pittsburgh -
I do think that this will be a very close game, but the falcons offence wont do hardly anything, their based on running and steelers defence is based on stopping the run.
Carolina - The bengals have been looking bad after the pats game and THE BUCS game. If the winless bucs can beat them, the panthers who with steve smith are really good will have no problem
San Diego - i dont see kansas city doing much better against the chargers then they did against pitt
Seattle - I just think seattle has more talent then minnesota with alexander back (im not sure if hes back yet, if hes not then i take the vikings)
Dallas - With dallases defence i dont think the giants will be able to run, they will pass good but eli will end up having 2 key interceptions, and drew bledsoe only will have one.

Pittsburgh @ Atlanta - Pittsburgh, Atlantas front 4 is nasty but if our O-line plays the way it did against the Chiefs we should be fine (and as long as Simmons is out we'll be alright).
Carolina @ Cinci - Carolina, should be a good game, Carolina are hot right now and Cinci are battling with injuries on the line, also dont like the matchup for Tory James or O'Neal against Smith.
San Diego @ Kansas City - San Diego, The Chiefs live and die with that offensive line and they arent there this year. Though after a horrible display against Pittsburgh the KC defense is still decent, but LT runs all over them.
Minnesota @ Seattle - Seattle, Dont know why this one is on there, I like Hasselbeck against that defense, in Seattle take the Seacocks.
New York Giants @ Dallas - if the Giants D plays the way it did against the Falcons they should win this one, however Bledsoe would want to think about throwing to TO this week A LOT more, TO has Halls number.

what do you guys think will be the best game?
Carolina at Cincinnati

even though the latter is MNF, if they were both sunday games and I had to choose one I couldn't decide.

Carolina @ Cinci..
Housh, CJ, Smith, and Keyshawn, 4 wide receivers that talk shit like it was their job, Delhomme had a great game against the Ravens and Carson needs to get out of the slump he's having. Should be a good game.

I'm saying Carolina knocks Palmer out. Just like Simms and McNair. :)
As far as the Seahawks game and you guys struggling with that one. It's easy, Seattle is home, so they win, for some reason at that stadium, that's just the way it works.

How could it be more "intense"? Because the people are loud?

qwest field is THE loudest stadium in the NFL, no ifs ands or butts... the stadium was built to be loud, even though the stadium is outdoors the designers made is so that the cheap seats at the open end of the field(the hawks nest) were metal benches making the the loudest part of the field... just ask the giants who comminted 11 false start penalties last year
the hawks are the only team who have an actual homefield advantage the whole season

So? That doesn't mean every other team doesn't have a homefield advantage.
So? That doesn't mean every other team doesn't have a homefield advantage.
sure, but seattle has the biggest bestest homefield advantage x1000 +1 infinity. why you ask? because they kick ass, and minnesota will feel the burn after sunday. the spiking viking (http://spikingviking.com/uploaded_images/DSC00468.sized-718277.jpg) is going to watch the game, and feel so embarassed that he'll engage in homo erotic activites envolving ATM. the video will get released on the net and he'll regret it so much that he juggles the idea of suicide through his thoughts. after deciding it's not a good idea, he changes his identity and moves to san francisco and becomes EVEN GAYER. he becomes so gay that gay people find him annoying. he gets so GAY that he releases even more ATM gay porns on the net, all with Viking themes to them, including such titles as "Hagar the Whoreable" and "Erik the Red: Red Anus That Is, from being Pounded" are you still reading this? wtf is wrong with you.

I wasn't saying you were exaggerating about the sound level, but claiming the Seahawks are the only team in the league with a homefield advantage is quite an exaggeration.

true, but the seahawks have the BEST homefield advantage. lol i love watching the Mannings try and play in Qwest. they get so frustrated, you can see it in their face, and the jumbo screens always zoom in on it.

If the Seahawks get their ass kicked again will you disappear until they win another game again?
I'm thinking yes, since you went on for half the paragraph about someone being gay  No wonder no one takes you Seacock fans seriously.
Why does Seattle have homefield advantage? "Because they kick ass", atleast Snowy gave actual reasoning. And it's not because they "kick ass", they're just as loud as any other fans in the NFL, it's the way the stadium is designed supposively, nice to see you dont know dick about your own team.

A SEACOCK fan...telling a STEELER fan, HE is jealous...if that's not an oxymoron I dont know what is.
I understand your only retaliation when discussing football is "Well, the Seahawks have a better record", but to have a Seattle fan call another fan of another team, ANY team for that matter jealous is pretty laughable. Especially when we're one game down, and you're one game up, is a shitty division
Typical statement for someone that doesnt know didly shit about football, that just watches their team when they're doing good, "you're just jealous", yeah, so if you discuss football and the someone isnt favoring your team it's a "jealously ploy", haha, typical Seacock fans, the rain must really get to you guys down there, or maybe it's too much Starbucks. Oh wait, I'm just "taking it out on good teams because the Steelers suck", haha, christ you're stupid. Damn if by exposing you Seattle fans for being unintellectual meatheads is "taking it out because my team sucks", give me the badge of honor.
Oh and by the way, as far as the "history" goes, before last year your team choked away every first playoff game they've had the opportunity to play in, we however, before last year, choked away in the AFC championship games..
Now do most of us a favor and dont reply when grown-ups are discussing. Go back to sitting in your garage sucking on your car's tailpipe after just downing another starbucks as it continues to rain in Seattle

Seattle has the most fags in the USA.
Search that.
Seriously though, i cant stand seattle fans. It starts with what they wear to who they are to who they think they are.
First of all, 9/10 seattle people who claim to be football fans are fair weathered and are soft.
The whole culture up in seattle is soft.
Its like SF without the blatant gayness.
You got your little grande mocha fraps with ginsing or whatever the shit in it.
2nd of all, although it is hailed as the loudest stadium in the NFL, i wondered if it wasnt directly designed for that, how loud would it be.
3rd of all, that 12th fan thing is BS. Its like you people think you have some great history.
I mean, look at what seattle is known for... Ichiro, Starbucks, the needle, throwing fish, and rain. Hardcore!
The team itself i dont mind, but after seeing the actual fans, in their intimidating aquamarine jerseys, i said knew they were queer.
Here is a list of fans that are better/more loyal
Skins
Eagles
NYG
Dallas
Pitt
KC
Chicago
Green Bay
Cleveland
NYJ
Denver
New England (although they are the east coast equivalent to me)
San Fran
then its seattle, even then im probably missing a few.

sorry that our coffee/mocha/smoothies/hot chocolates/other coffee like products are 100x better then urs, seriously... why bash on a business that everyone drinks in all the other states, yeah it seems like we drink it more but thats cause it STARTED here
and the colors for our team are blue/green because of the color of the OCEAN and last time i checked seattle is right next to one genius
and the 12th man was started in 1980 when the number 12 was retired by the seahawks
and why diss the stadium, no outdoor stadium would be nearly as loud as an indoor if it werent designed for it, go back to your shitty stadium and pass some taxes so that maybe u can get as cool a stadium as ours
and what team DOESNT have fair weather fans? none, no team is an exception dipshit so why are u giving our fair weather fans crap when whenever your team does good you guys get a boost in fanbase
and lastly, what is your shitty city known for besides the pentagon(which no one knows even is in arlington)

1st of all, my post was made angrier than i intended it to be.
2nd of all, the whole idea behind starbucks to a lot of people is this liberal, snobby bunch of people. Thats not what fans ought to be known for.
3rd, the colors of the ocean suck over there.
4th, i know the little story about the 12th man, but what im saying is, you guys have no real history.
5th, looking at your guys games at Qwest field (stupid spelling), it just seems like nobody there is that typical fan, its all "young people". You may not understand what im saying, but some people may.
6th the pentagon is fucking extreme to the max.
Arlington/DC area has a lot of good things. 1st of all, we got the skins (fucking murderingly extreme), 2nd of all, SE DC was the murder capital of the world for a while, 3rd-100th, all those damn monuments, and a cemetary...

This is an odd week for me, I picked all road teams.
Pittsburgh over Atlanta- The Steelers are probably back on pace, and any team with a half decent pass rush is going to get five sacks against Vick. They should be able to stop Dunn as well. =Dumb ass, although this one was damn close.
Carolina over Cincinnati- I hope I'm wrong, but the Bengals O-Line isn't there right now, and that's not a good thing when you have to face the Panthers. I hope I'm wrong on this one though. And I was.
San Diego over Kansas City- I could see KC winning this game, but the Chargers are the second best team in my opinion. Until further notice, I'm going to pick them to win most of their games, right up to the Super Bowl. If I could have seen it, I should have picked it. And I may be about to give that notice on the Chargers.
Minnesota over Seattle- I think the Vikings' defense will stop the 'Hawks, and Minnesota will get a close win in the fourth. Hurray!
Giants over Dallas- The D-line of the Giants should have a great game, and I can see Barber having a hundred and fifty yards. Defense and running the ball almost always results in a win. Hopefully I'll salvage another game.
Last week: 3-2
Season: 12-4
1-3 so far. Not good, not good at all.

ide rather be 4-2 then 2-4, and were still in the easiest division in the NFL
and shaun alexander will probably be back next week against KC and what team cant dominate KC's defense?

I don't think St. Louis is gonna be a run over again like last year, they should have won against the Seahawks last week but they blew it. The Rams can still win the Division. I know what it feels like losing to teams that you know they can beat.

just wait till torry holt or mark bulger gets hurt...
and the seahawks probably would have won the game if we had a healthy shaun alexander and matt hasselbeck didnt go down, it hurts when you dont have your reigning nfl mvp or a pro bowl quarterback...... oh well
btw, 2/3rds of the earth is covered by water, not 1/3...

Now that Hutchinson is gone i don't think Shaun will be as dominate this year. Look at Minn, Chestor Taylor looks good and they seem to have an established running game now that Hut came over. Oh, and in my book Dawkins covers more.

hutchison may be gone but hes stil Shaun "reigning NFL MVP" Alexander and its not like our line sucks, its still probably a top 10 line in football and Shaun's gonna run wild in the 4 reciever set, do they cover the pass? the run? oh look, 80 yard touchdown down the sidelines....

Lol, He's last years MVP, And what we saw b4 he got injured it didn't seem he was an MVP at all. He was the Main front on why shaun got all those yards. He will be missed severly by the Seahawks, Mostly by Shaun, Cause he knows he probably won't pick up those amount of yards again.

shaun got injured like the 2nd week of the season so i dont think the first coupld weeks are an accurate showing of what hes capable of
and atleast the seahawks dont lose to a team on a 62-yard fieldgoal... where was brian dawkins on that play?

Well atleast the Eagles didn't get blown out like the Seacawks, What was the score again? 37-6. And then Minnesota went into Qwest and spanked yall. Where were your crowd noise at then. Your stadium is a bunch of bull shit. My farts are louder than Qwest field.

it was 31-13 dipshit which isnt exactly a blowout when ur missing the reigning nfl mvp and have your pro bowl quarterback go down when your only down by 1 score...
seneca threw 2 ints and fumbled twice(one which was in the endzone which gave minnesota its final score which put it away)
btw... what was the score of the eagles/seahawks game in PHILI last year... wasnt it like 42-0? like 35-0 at half with like 3 defensive TD's and shaun alexander being taken out at half?... yeah i dont think u should be talking about teams getting blown out....
oh and what happened in the giants game? werent the eagles up by like 3 scores in the 4th and choked it away? dont talk shit about my team when its still better then urs

^First, the 37-6 score was a reference to the Bears game.
Secondly, you say the only reason the Seahawks were beaten so badly is because your team had key injuries. Then what do you do? Bring up a game from last year, against a team in the exact same situation.
it's funny how the week 7 thread is getting more attention than the week 8 thread

Sorry for posting late I have been out, but since you wanna bring in Injuries about why you are losing this year, which you would be losing anyway dipshit, I can do that too, When you blew the Eagles out last year our secondary was hurt, No Dawkins, No Sheppard, Then on the Offensive side of the ball we had no Mcnabb, Westbrook Out due too a fractured ankle and Had McMahon lol who averaged 4 INT's a game. I really wouldn't go out and say your team is better right now. If it wasn't for your bye week lord knows the Seacawks would just as easily be 4-4 also. We have the ability to win games and keep the lead untill the 4 qtr, The problem lays is when we have to run the ball, Which the Eagles can't do. Westbrook is a 3rd down back not the All down back. The Eagles are the better team when it comes the 1st 2nd and 3rd qtr, We just can't seem to run the ball well enough to keep the lead. The NFC East is a harder division if not the hardest in the NFL then your weak ass division, The only team that will give seattle a run is the Rams, We have New York and Dallas, And the On and Off again team called the Redskins. Like i said b4 seattle has the curse and it will previal again this year. Might happen with Pittsburgh also the way things are going.
