Hardcore is terrible. I like a couple bands, but other than that it's shitty, shitty music. On top of that, hardcore dancing is probably the gayest thing anyone could do. Fags.

I'm a sucker for Raunchy and Circle Takes the Square. Orchid's pretty good, as was DEP's first album.

yeah, the majority of what you listed was metalcore. Basically, it's metal with breakdowns. If you want hardcore, you're gonna actually need some like black flag, minor threat, biohazard kinda shit. Hardcore is a pretty hard to describe genre. A lot of it is just New York style dirty heavy music with a shit load of breakdowns. But yeah, point being, those bands aren't hardcore.

Generic because they made enough record sales to actually make a decent living off of their music? Unoriginal? Shit as far as hardcore music goes, they are the few bands that actually sound good to me, and apparantly alot of other people. Most hardcore bands to me sound the same anyway. So I don't know how being original has any relevance to this topic anyway. But opinions vary, and you are entitled to yours.

dude some of those bands aint hardcore....if you think In Flames is hardcore you should be shot. Trivum, unearth, atreyu...those are METALCORE. huge differnce.

Hardcore is much cooler when it is kept off the internet. Most of you kids hear a couple songs on the online and never think twice about checking out a band live. And even THEN when you decide you are into it and you want to check out a show you will probably end up going to a Bleeding Through or It Dies Today show.

If you want to goto some real hardcore shows come up to NY or Boston. NY and Mass have huge scenes, or at least used to have a huge hardcore scene. Bands like Madball, Vision of Disorder, 25 Ta Life, One King Down, Most Precious Blood, Agnostic Front, Biohazard, Sick Of It All, Murphy's Law, Cromags, and Candiria are all examples of hardcore bands from NY.

Boston has some good hardcore. And the Acacia Strain is from Western Massachusets. They're one of my favorite metal bands.
