How to make an animated gif frame by frame.

Whats a good program to use if I just wanna string a few pics together to make an animation...and uhh...where can I get...it online...legally of course... :err:

I use ImageReady (Adobe, makers of Photoshop). There should be a trial version on Adobe.com, but if you want you can post the pics for me to make the animation.

By the way it is possible to make animated GIF from video files.

Personally I've use this way last times.
It's really very simple and fast but I use special converter for this. :)

When I made animated gif from pictures I used flash. It was cool but I've need some time to learn how it works...

That's why I like "video avatar" (converter that I use). It doesn't need tutorials and all. Simple interface, good quality :)
