How do you feel about them? What is your favorite album, song?

I just bought Sgt. Pepper's and Revolver. Both are amazing.

My favorite album (out of two) is Sgt. Pepper's. My favorite song is probably "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds".

Discuss.

<---- Reason for avatar is my newly bought cds. :p

Personally i think they are THE most overrated band in the history of the world, but still some of their pop songs are OK. My favourite is "While my guitar gently weeps" that is a good song.

My favorite is the White Album. I think my favorite song is either "Yer Blues" or "Everybody's Got Something To Hide (Except For Me And My Monkey)".

I love the Beatles. My favorite Beatles album is Abbey Road, and my favorite
Beatles song is A Day in the Life. If you haven't heard it, download it now. I listened to it over and over when I first heard it.

Yeah, I also love that song. It is an extremely close second for me favorite. I plan on getting more albums, next The White Album probably. What are their other great ones?

I don't really like their early days, I like more when they are all high on drugs.

I don't know why, but I despise the White Album. I can't stand listening to it. It has some good songs, but they don't make up for the others to me. Get Abbey Road and Revolver.

Don't listen to Oopy. I usually agree with his taste in music, but he's wrong this time. White Album kicks ass.

"Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds".
Just so you know matt, John wrote that song about a painting his son did with his friend Lucy in it...So he says.

I love the Beatles, and I must agree with Droogs, the White Album is great. I hadn't heard "Helter Skelter" until someone said the hated it and Droog defended it. Now I can't get it out of my head.

I just bought a book about the Beatles' 100 greatest songs. Numero uno was "A day in the life" which isn't my favorite. Two was "Strawberry Fields forever," which could be my favorite. I was angry to see that "When I'm 64" (one of my favorites up there with S.F.F.) and Yellow submarine weren't on there...

I LOVE THE BEATLES!

If you guys like the Beatles, listen to some of George Harrisons solo stuff, Wah Wah and Stuck Inside a Cloud are both pretty good songs. Of all Beatles songs I like Something, And I Love Her and A Day in the Life.

I'm a gay whale boy that loves cawk.
Finally he admits it.

Oopy, don't hate the playa, hate the game. (Sorry about that one.)

Anywho, I think it's kind of funny (although tragic, I realize) that "Helter Skelter" inspired Manson to kill those people. If you don't know, he heard "I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you" in Helter Skelter, and interpreted it as though it meant there was an impending race war, and that "blacky" would take over the world...

The song was actually written about a roller coaster in England. "When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide, then I stop then and I turn and I go for a ride. Then I get to the bottom and I see you again." Although others have taken it to be about a relationship (and possibly abuse,) looking at the words just proves how much of a freaking psyco he was to take them that way, and also how The Beatles could take something so simple but make it a great song.

^ Well, unless you have heard and know each of those albums, your opinion concerning that is ignorant and stupid.
