Hauppauge's WinTV cards are apparently very good. I don't have one, but at one time I was considering getting one and it would've been one of them.

I bought two cheap Avermedia AverTV cards.. I've yet to actually get it to work which is pissing me off greatly.

Also I wasn't careful in reading and they aren't supported by Linux, farewell MythTV box.
