View Full Version : Ask Movie Questions HERE

Hey Ebaums film lovers! I thought I would start a thread where people could have a place to ask movie questions.
SUCH AS:
"What was the name of that movie""
"I didn't understand the ending to this movie, help?"
"Who starred in that movie?"
"Why do they do this in movies"
You get the idea, so post anything you want involving help with movies like the examples above, or anything related. We already did this in Shingo's thread, but as Knave pointed out, it would be probably best to have a thread by itself for this. So, ask questions, answer them, enjoy movies! :dunce:

I don't know the name of this movie:
The movie was about some Japanese mafia guy sent to America and stay with his brother. He then starts his mafia thing over there. I think his name name was Aniki or something.
Thanks in advance.

What's that movie starring that guy with the thing, ya know and he does that stuff and goes to that place? I think it starred the guy who looks like the guy who played Morpheus in the movie Point Break.

What is the name of the horror movie in which a lady is walking in a room, then all of a sudden a humanoid but robot-like white figure just walks right across the room and stands in one spot before turning around after the lady shines her flashlight on it? I saw this on the 100 Scariest Movie Moments on Bravo, its an older movie but i just cant remember the name of it.

Hmmm, I'm not sure about this one. Maybe if you can remember more of the plot or scenes? But, I listed below the links to the Bravo list on Amazon, maybe you can find it on there. It says "films" but upon search, its the same list as "moments". Hope that helps you find it. If I figure it out, I'll let you know.

Supposedly the Coehn Brothers put a big continuety error. What is it?

I'm not sure I completely understand your question? The Coen brothers had a big continuity error in a movie, what is it? Is that what you are asking?
If so, I remember a big one in "Barton Fink" where the military guy at the ends medals kept changing places, from securely on him, to falling off.
And too many to list in "The Big Lebowski", haha, but here is a link to them.

The only one I actually remembered on this list was the first one with the picture. Not that others don't exist, but that is the only I thought of.

Yeah I remember seeing it. To add to the plot and maybe help someone find the answer, i think it was about some lady who rented an apartment that was actually a gate to hell or something. Maybe Nosferatu? I'm really not sure, tried to find it... http://www.bravotv.com/The_100_Scariest_Movie_Moments//index.shtml
There's a list to the names of every movie that was on the show so maybe if you see the name it will click for you.

Where is that black monster thing with the yellow eyes from? You can see it in the opening to Malcom in the Middle. It's the moster that takes the girl from the sailor right before she kisses him

I watched a western film about 6 months ago. When I started watching it, there was a group of cowboys traveling through the desert. They were very tired and it looked like they hadnt eaten in a long time. One of the cowboys stopped to rest, while the others kept moving forward. Then, the cowboys came across a town and got in a gun battle with a woman and her father. I dont think anyone died though. The woman was good with a gun and she only lived with her father. She talked to the main cowboy and they stopped shooting at eachother. Later, there was another gun battle between the cowboys and the woman. The woman and her father were shooting into a barn, where the cowboys were hiding. In this gun battle, one of the cowboys was shot and another cowboy ran out to find something to help the injured man. This is when i stopped watching. I remember the title of the movie was lengthy, maybe 4 or 5 words. I think it either had the word "sunset", or "sunrise", or "red". I know these are common words for a western title, but thats what I remember. If anyone can tell me the name of this movie, it would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Alright. I found it. It was called Yellow Sky. It is a really great movie, from what I saw. The plot synopsis is pretty close to what I remembered too.
Synopsis from IMDB.com:
A band of bank robbers on the run from a posse flee into the desert. Near death from lack of water they stumble into what appears to be a ghost town, only to discover an old prospector and his granddaughter living there. The robbers discover that the old man has been mining gold and set out to make a quick fortune by robbing the pair. Their plan runs foul when the gang leader, Stretch (Gregory Peck), falls for the granddaughter (Anne Baxter), which sets off a showdown between the entire gang.

There was a movie I saw as a little kid. It was about this kid teaming up with Paul Bonyon. John Henry, and Wild Bill and they were tring to stop a guy from taking over the town. I all I remember was at the end where the kid is underneath the train and Paul, John, and Bill are there tring to help the kid by stopping the train and moving the people out of the way.
