From what I can remember, most 'goths' listen to industrial rock and symphonic metal.

Slipknot is NOT metal. They're nu-metal, which is a satirical term made by KoRn frontman Jon Davis to describe bands like Slipknot, KoRn, and Limp Bizkit. In reality, they're just weak forms of hard rock.

I'm not insulting nu-metal, though. There are some decent bands in that mess, like Nothingface, Mudvayne, etc.

I think most people like crappy music beacuse they were introduced to it or raised in it, peerpreassure perhaps? Who knows but Half of my school has no idea who Queen, Led Zeplin or pink floyd are and when I show them their jaws drop. Problem is most people are too afraid to stop the ****** ******* Rap cookie cutter music and play "Bohemian Raphsody"
