So basically i was on my way to school thursday morning and i thought i'd check out the local best buy to see if anyone's began camping. I made a pact with myself that if there is anybody there, put all shit aside and join them. I was initially planning on camping in a tent and shit like that, but because of the weather, many of us stayed in our cars. We had a list of people starting with the guy that began waiting first. The best buy had 15 60gb and 4 20gb, lucky for us the manager understood that there was no point for people to stick around for 24 hours and not get one... so he revealed the information. I feel like the luckiest guy ever, I was #15, and my buddy who i called up while he was in school was #16.

The weather was shit, it was cold, windy, and often raining. I couldn't sleep at all in my car.

Then around 5:30am, people began waking up, and others began arriving. Some 20 people arrived thinking they could just "bud in". Lucky for us all #19 was the tallest, and the biggest of us all.

Anyway I kind of documented the 2 days, and will post it sometime today or tomorrow. As for now I gotta go to a friends house. And YES I just had to brag. I'm sorry.

Ha ha! I didn't camp, and I went to Best Buy. It was sold out. 45 minutes later and during the walk out the door, I hear "6 20-gigs just came in." Boo ya!

- the launch games for a new system always suck
- the price is absolutely stupid

If I lived in America (and wanted a PS3) I would have definitely just bought one at launch, sold it, bought another one later with the large profit I would easily make before they become more widely available. I don't know why everyone isn't doing it.

... All you guys that are bitching and talking shit about the PS3 are forking out some serious jealousy... I think you should actually own the item, try it, before you make your assumption...
There are some of you that hate it for a reason, for example: Sony raped your mom... but some of you are acting like the whole camping out for a system is a new thing.... Think about the PS1 and the N64 or the PS2, Xbox, and GC... Some people want to get their stuff right away and if camping out is what it takes to get it....Hell, more power to them....
I dont see you guys bitching at those Star Wars fan boys camping out with their light saber toys and having butt sechs with guys dressed up like Chubacca...

Good thing you got it now while it's buggy, overpriced, and you have to wait in line for 2 days to obtain instead of when the price comes down, the bugs get worked out, and you can just go in and buy one.
