It looks like EA finally did something right. Skate is there new skateboarding game thats coming out for 360 and PS3, and it not like Tony Hawk where you can jump 30 feet in the air. It's actually realistic skateboarding.

Did you watch the video? The animation is already better than project 8 and the game isnt even done yet. Then again you dont really have an open mind about trying new things so I wouldn't expect you to realize.

Ok, i dont want to upset you.

But like you said this game isnt even finished yet, and judging from past experience with EA it probably wont be finished when they start sticking it on shelves.

They claim its going to have far better physics and animation than tony hawks? Well aside from Tony hawks having a supeiror past experience, it doesnt feel the need to make games 'realistic' no one wants to just do the odd kick flip, they wanna get in there and do the most crazy ass shit.

Yeah, the reason why I play Tony Hawk games is because I can do the impossible. I play games to escape my reality, not get reminded of it.

Why dont you let the people decide what they want for themselves and you can have your own opinion.

Tony Hawk is not realistic though. People want a skateboarding game that is realistic, and this is really damn close. Tony Hawk is a good game still, and I know people want to be to do those outrageous combos and shit, but at the same time it can get a little on the fake side.

Unfortunately, he is probably right....EA has really slacked their games in the past few years...

But with skateboarding, realistic is fucking boring unless you are actually doing it. Who wants to play a skateboarding game where the SUPER ULTIMATE END ALL TRICKS is a kick flip into a 3 second nose grind!! WOOOOOOO!

YEah, I'd rather stick with Tony Hawk. EA is becoming a mockery of game developers. In-game advertising, spyware, rushed, incomplete games, bugs, and just plain generic games piss me off.

That's crazy talk! Didn't you know? EA decides what's great. Not you or I. In fact, what they decide, is so great, they repackage it every year with a new number on the front and resell it to us!

I can't wait for Skate 2009 to come out! I'm so excited about spending another 60 dollars on the same game again!

And not only that, but if it comes out for PC, it'll have such little modding support, you won't even be able to add your own animations! AWESOME!

Yeah, EA blows. Not only do other companies do their games better, but they also allow the community to do more with those games.

I'm sure it is. In an article they talked about how they wanted to make the camera look like another skater was following you filming.

That game looks awesome, but the 'realness' will make it shit. Perfect is boring. Tony Hawk's isn't perfect, therefor it's fun. If that made any sense at all.

That's a good point. I guess it is still kinda cool to have a realistic game. Maybe this game could somehow teach people how to do the tricks in real life or at least demonstrate it.

Thrasher Skate & Destory was realistic, and it's soo hard to play that you can't statnd it after a while.

yeah i remember tony hawk talking about this subject.

he said that in a videogame you don't want ultra realism, because that defeats the purpose of playing the game, if you want realistic skateboarding, get one and start skating!
