Nice, if I somehow manage to snag a 360 for $100 then I might get a Wii as well.

Otherwise, I'll have to wait a year.

The review strongly suggests that they "remade" Hyrule from Ocarina of Time. Which, of course, is bad ass.

9.5 Gameplay
Superb. The tried-and-true Zelda gameplay mechanics are taken to new heights with the Wii remote and nunchuk. Overworld and temple designs are stellar. Classic Zelda reborn for a new generation.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
It'll keep you busy for at least 50 hours and you could spend double that in Nintendo's new Hyrule. So much to do and see that you'll be busy for weeks, if not months.

i dont understand, what does it take to get that 10?

- anyways, this game is probably my selling point to buy a wii

it's really funny, gamespot gave tony hawk's pro skater 3 a perfect 10, and twilight princess an 8.6

I've already preordered the game weeks ago. Looks like I invested well.

Trying to buy a Wii is the problem.

Well there must be a good reason why its not a perfect 10.... Maybe they changed it up a lil too much...Making it stray from the former Zelda games we fell in love with in the past...
....Now what they really need to do, is make a re-vamped version of Link to the Past...mmm...sexy...

but you see. in both the written and the video review, the review literally says: this is the best zelda game EVER. so, i duno. should be a 10 i would think.

It may be the best Zelda game of all time...but, it may not be the best game of all time...So the reason its not a 10 is unknown... I have yet to play the game so I dont know...Heaven forbid, it might suck...We dont know

Jeff Gerstman gave Tony Hawk 3 a 10 and TP an 8.8. He's a terrible reviewer and needs to be fired or something.

I wouldn't trust a site that ever game a game a perfect 10.. "Perfect" doesn't exist. And IGN has yet to give a game a 10.

Regardless of what game you play, you'll find minor annoyances in it. The more fun and better polished the game is, the less annoyances you'll come across.

Super Mario Sunshine is the epitome of a well polished game. Very few bugs, extremely responsive controls, graphics never look out of place. It's almost as if they went over the game with a fine tooth comb. Halo and Halo 2 are more examples.

I would actually put GTA behind those two in polish, even while I enjoy the game more. The controls feel a little unresponsive sometimes. You see popup occasionally. There's a few graphical errors. I mean, when you play GTA, it simply doesn't feel or look as polished as the previous two. Of course, San Andreas has really done alot in that area, but still suffers the same problems as 3 and VC (MUCH MUCH less so though).

The day a game comes out without a single hitch. When you can say that you've played it from beginning to end, enjoyed every second of it, didn't see a single problem anywhere, never got frustrated with any aspect of it. That's the day you can give it a 10.

.... but that's just my opinion.

Tetris.

Perfect game ever.

It comes out on Gamecube December 13th... Why get a Wii to play it when you can wait a couple more weeks and just play it on GC?

cus the programmars focused on the Wii version more, and it has better graphics and the Wii mote ...

The reason it didn't get a perfect ten, even though they say its the greatest Zelda game ever made is because since its a GCN port technically, the graphics aren't the greatest(Wii standards) and it feels TOO much like Ocarina of Time, which isn't a bad thing, but they hoped it would have had a little more originality in its temple/world design since some temples and places feel like Ocarina of time. Other than that its pretty sweet.

The real reason it didn't get a perfect 10 is because it takes a long time to catch a fish

I honestly don't know how you have time to spout your 'neutral' sentiment into every Wii thread in this forum.

Thats it, I'm buying a Wii. This game is a mixture of my 2 favorite Zelda games, yet still better. It has a world similar to the Dark World from A Link to the Past, and it has gameplay similar to Ocarina of Time.

Simply fuckin stunning. I just cant go without it. Nintendo wins again.

it looks great for a Gamecube port.

now we just have to wait 3-4 years to see what an original Wii zelda game will be like.
