I was wondering if anyone had experince with digital djing on the computer.
I want to try to mix songs like the songs lyrics with a different songs acoustic but I don't know what the non-instrumental part is called.

Instrumental = Beat
Singing/Rapping = ???

Also I'm looking for an easy and simple program to do this just for fun. Any help is appreciable.

I downloaded Fruity Loops studio a couple of days ago. Supposudly its good with mixing. Unfortunately I gave up after about 30 min. because I couldn't figure out how to work the thing.

I know what i'm looking for now. It's a Instrumental and Vocals separater. It takes apart the song by it's instrumental (beat) and the Vocals (singing/rapping).

i really wanna find a program that can do this.

A really good one is Pro Tools...if you've got about $8,000 US kickin' around. Even then you'd need the master cut of whatever tune you want to separate as you'll need to see the individual tracks from the original session to manipulate them. I'm guessing the record labels will charge you a bit more for that.
