.....which included a shit ton of traffic (turning a 5 hour drive into a 7 hour drive), a speeding ticket, and an endlessly nagging mother, (heading to somewhere I really dont want to be) one thing managed to make my day. As I was driving through a small town called Skaneateles, I noticed something shining brightly out of the corner of my eye.
'Twas a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300SL gullwing. I watched, as it passed right by me, but I was too stunned to grab my camera. It was sheer beauty. I've always known they're beautiful cars, but its just so much better seeing it with your own two eyes.
Seriously, as much as I hate being in Auburn, I think just seeing that car may let me forget for a week and a half, maybe even two weeks, that I'm here. Good shit, right there. Its amazing how a simple 5 seconds can make a hellish trip worth all the trouble.

Lol. Out here in Los Angeles I don't get to see many classics, and when I do its usually Jay Leno passing by on the 101. I get to see a handful of exotics every month on the street. SL500's, 7-series, and other cars in that range are all a dime a dozen.

I saw a saleen s7 when in newport. Stopped and talked to the guy in the car who was a calabration engineer for saleen.
The other day I was going to pick up my bro and followed a viper to his school and then ended up following a different viper all the way back home. Just seemed kinda random.

I've been passed by an Ferrari F-40 before. I didn't even have my license at the time so I was just riding as a passenger out in the country near this really expensive golf course Buffalo Run. At the time I didn't even know what the red car was that I was seeing in the side mirror. It was going much faster than we were and it got right behind us on this two lane highway. As soon as there was an opening I remember hearing that F-40 downshift and it went flying by. It was one of the craziest things I've ever seen it was so low to the ground and so loud and moving so fast it was like nothing I had ever seen. We didn't see it again after we crested the next hill so I can only assume it went down the golf course road. I remember going home and trying to find that car on my old 56k internet without luck lol. Probly started me on my car obsession that I have. Its crazy what a sighting of a car like that can do isn't it?

I saw one on eBay a year or so ago. $400,000 with two days left to bid. I didn't catch the final price, though.
