What do you people think is the most underated movie?
Mine would have to be baseketball

brainkandy87

Hamburger Hill, Box of Moonlight, Starship Troopers

Madness

I think that John Carpenters "The Thing" should have more recognition. Its a brilliant film that suffered from its time of released.

Wes Cravens final nightmare. the best of the freddy series by far. wes craven reallly knows horror

That would be "Wes Craven's New Nightmare", which is 7th in the series. "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" (which sucked) is part 6.

Anyway, under-rated movies include:
-Donnie Darko
-Wet Hot American Summer
-The Opposite of Sex
-Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion (I had to say it...)
-Ginger Snaps/Ginger Snaps: Unleashed
-Sleepaway Camp
-Pumpkin

All I can think of now.

Coven66
06-01-2004, 01:04 AM
sorry about that, there has just been so many sequels it's hard to remember titles. as a matter of fact i think all the films had "Nightmare" in the title

watched Unleashed last night and i have to say the ending is fucked royally, it was good but the first was far superior

anyway another underrated film is a canadian film called Treed Murry. a very good suspence/thriller

Hence it being the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series... ;)

Gonna have to go with Ninja on that one, The Boondock Saints was fuckin great. Anyone seen Orgasmo? That movie is funny as hell, stars Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and of course the little bitch ;) (and no, it isn't baseketball, even though that movie kicked ass as well)

Rented another movie this weekend. Another gem. I heard alot about it, and it lived up to the hype I heard about it.
Donnie Darko. Great friggin movie. I'll be keeping this one a while, and heard its coming back to the theaters. Cant wait to see there. Definitely the best movie Ive seen in a while. Reminds me of movies like Memento and 12 Monkeys.

It stunk the first time it was at the theaters. From what I heard.
Its underrated in the sense nobody has really ever heard of it. I remember seeing the listings for Donnie Darko on the IFC, and never watched it because I thought it was a gangster movie. I had never heard what it was really about until last month.

Miller's Crossing- Really smart and funny gangster movie.

The Outlaw Josie Wales- Clint Eastwood's best movie. It kicked insane amounts of ass.
