On the 'Choose File' dialogue, the only file types availible are Pictures (*.gig, *.jpg) and HTML. Is this right? Expected to see mpg, wmv or what ever video type is supported.

Same here. I think they should have a list of which file types are accepted where you upload your video.

For files of type I see:
All Files (*.*)
Pictures (*.gif, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.png)
HTML (*.htm, *.html)
This is under Windows Vista 5600 using Internet Explorer 7
I tried to upload an .ASF file under All Files (*.*) and it said it was uploading but nothing ever loaded. It was only a 2mb file so it shouldn't be the file size that is causing the problem.

The options you see are the normal options. Your failed ASF upload might be a different issue. Can you try it again and describe exactly what happens?

I tried to upload the .ASF file again. This time it loaded for about 2 minutes, then it finally said that the file extension is not allowed. Is there a way that you can check the file name before uploading the file to see if the extension is supported? Another way around this would be to change the files of type drop down box to support only *.wmv, *.mpeg, etc.
skizz, can you send me an IM when you are around? aim: jasonmebw
