uppercase file extentions

uppercase file extentions dont get accepted. A lot of encoders save the file with uppercase file extention

"That file extension is not allowed. Please try again."

for example

hi.WMV doesnt work but hi.wmv does

also it seems like it waits until you upload the video to decide this?
