Just wondering how the approval system works. After the upload from the user, are the videos viewed, and approved by moderators/administrators? Also, how does the system work against duplicate content?

I think we were talking about this elsewhere. It would be quite a undertaking of human power to view each video and cross check for dups.

We have the ability to moderate all videos before they are posted the site, but currently we have this feature turned off.

Once we go public with this we will be moderating ALL the content for inappropriate material.

Yeah, I was just wondering how you guys were gonna do it. On my site I have a bin that submitted content sits in awaiting approval from one of the mods. It's convenient, but can be pretty hard to keep up with when there's a huge flow of submitted content. Luckily my site is not that big. How many mods will you guys have? I imagine ebaumsworld is pretty well equipped with employees, but I'm just trying to imagine the volume the site will be looking at after these features are added.

It is pretty cool though. I definitely think it will bring more traffic. Free media hosting seems to be the big thing these days.

But that's the stuff that made EBaumsworld Ebaumsworld. I'm hoping this isn't a youtube bandwagon clone. I want Ebaumsworld flavor. As long as it isn't illegal (Ie underaged nudity) or spam (Explicit porn and ads) then It should be posted.

Obviously, anything illegal won't be tolerated.

We let our lawyers in 3 piece suits figure out the rest :)
