Hey, so this christmas me and my girlfriend have decided instead of getting each other gifts, we'll just buy a wii.

I just want to know, are they hard to find at stores right now like the PS3? Or is the demand lower?

Just call around, see what stores are getting how many when.

Then come a few hours early with your girl. You can make a day of it standing in line.

They are crazy hard to get. You'll definitely have to plan it out and wait in line at Wal Mart for it. I wouldn't even try with EB or Gamestop, they only get a few and the managers and employee's friends have them pretty much spoken for.

Well it's mostly word of mouth... which is hard to believe as a reliable source.

However, ps3seeker does say a shipment is coming in on Sunday to most Walmarts

Target, EBgames, Wal-mart, Gamestop, Best Buy etc etc etc they're all getting Wii's and selling them on Dec 17th, no bullshit. Prepare to camp out.

Yeah, they are still very hard to aquire. As for not camping out and waking up super early, I wouldn't put faith in it. I did just that a couple of weeks ago, and I woke 2 hours before hand, actually I never went to sleep, and they were gone already. My Wal-Mart said they would go on sale at 8am, they sold them before 8am. They sold them at like 7am, because so many people started showing up early, some the night before. Bastards.

But yeah, call around, be prepared to do retarded stuff like camping out. My situtation is tough too, because by not having pre-ordered, and I'm getting it for my girlfriend. Which sucks, cause I have to come up with good stories while I try to camp or search or whatever. So good luck to you, I'll let you know if I find any better options. Don't forget to search online still, its not impossible to find one online, just tough as shit.

Indeed, I heard there were 2 wii's on a shelf at my walmart, from a sorce that had just gotten from walmart about an hour prior...so i sped there and caught the last one being sold.....

but that was friday, so I'm guessing it will be simpler to get a Wii tommorow, I hope so. I had to sell my last wii because I needed college application money....whoops, but I didn't expect to be able to play until christmas break..which is now..so I can just buy it sunday, yay. I've already beaten zelda anyways..woot!

There isnt limited quantities, infact nintendo is making sure that EVERYONE who WANTS a wii GETS ONE. Myslef i was in line for ps3 and wii at bestbuy when they had 23 ps3's and 76 wii's then got two more shipments of wii's with 100+ of them. So to the guy who was asking if he can get one, yeah you shouldnt have a problem

thanks for the info, i think i might leave the house early just incase, theres an IHOP across the street if i show up too early, and my gf will be with me so we can have sloppy IHOP bathroom sex if were bored.

Yeah I ran over to Walmart, and Asked the offical electronics guy who made us sit in black chairs and wait til midnight like a bitch on launch date for the wii, he told me there werent any shipments coming in that he knew of......but im still going to check..but now im super sad

but obviously i'm gonna want a real game, most likely zelda. I'll be all over mario kart when that fucker comes out.

Sweet, I hope you get one, I bought zelda and red steel both really good buys, zelda is a amazing game with awsome graphics and red steel is just a kick ass shooter with mediocre graphics. I heard this new game called Elebits its good too. Just to throw a couple of names out there and give ya some info

as for the second, it was supposed to be on the 17th (as the internet said), I live in Canada so maybe it's different. Anyway i hear it's this friday for reals, but i dunno if i'll try that shit again.

The second one was around the 8th or some time around there..more people waiting in more chairs at Walmart, was on a wednesday...i didnt think people would know about it..but they were lined up.
