if you know anything about video games, you know that blizzard always produces the most top notch, beautiful and epic custscenes. here is another shining example of their amazingness. its worth the download (mine went at 700 kb/s) just to see illidan and the blood elf chicks.

The movie should be made like those cut scenes, not live action ...
Oh my god, that was amazing. Man that is some real talent. Blizzard has always made the best cinematics though.

what... the movie is live action!?!? that bites. but a full length movie in CG would take years and millions to make... not that blizzard didnt make 1 billion off of WoW already.

Get Peter Jackson to direct if it's going to be live action. He seems to always does things in epic porportions.

CGI is the only way they will actually capture the feel of WoW, any live action bullshit is going to be afucking disgrace.

well its live action for sure, as i just read in a few articles. but there has to be some CGI... unless they plan on dressing up 100 people as a big dragon, or demon or some crap

oh ffs.
You'd think paying a couple 100 nerds to program all day would be cheaper than hiring round the world proffesionals to build over the top sets, then hiring star actors to star in the film ...

Probably had steak dinners every night on the payroll.
Anyway, very cool cinematic. Loved the sheeping part.

trust me.. it takes a lot of time, high salaries (probably 70,000 +) and yes, a lot of companies give free dinners if their employees stay late. then all the equipment (software/computers), voice actors, script writers, and the list goes on.

Yep, downloaded this when it was first posted on: worldofwarcraft.com; absolutely amazing! :D
The Dreanei Paladin looks badass casting the seal, however, that Undead Warlock (I think, he seems to be dressed in what looks like the Mage PvP set) does look sick too.

Nahh, it's the warlock pvp set, but the mage is quite similar really.
Btw, does live action mean like...when they use suits with sensors attached to them? Like PJ's Smeagle from LOTR?

I think it took something like, a full day to render 20 frames in that film. Tying up rendering equipment costs money

Live action is real people, like uhh...Terminator, or Blow. That was live action.

yeah, they have to use `render farms`, which is basically a huge group of tons of computers working together to render a CGI movie

I love how my class (the warrior) just pulls out arrows of his chest and dies, while a fucking warlock, one of the most overpowered titty sucking class in the game lifts his hand and just destroys those murlocs without even trying. Wow, I finally realized how blizzard thinks about my class. If you play WoW, you would know that warriors are gimp, even with uber gear.
Man this pissed me off so much, fuck blizzard, and fuck the XPAC...

Looked pretty good. It's too bad I quit WoW last year because it wasn't delivering for me, but i hear recent patching fixed some things.

First of all, Blizzard doesn't know how to keep balance, they try to balance World of Warcraft like they balance Starcraft/Warcraft units and its not that simple. Blizzard also implements changes to one class at a time every 4 months; resulting in 1 class being superior to 7 others. This yields a very whiny, frustrated, and strongly biased community.
Read through the class forums @ www.worldofwarcraft.com: Paladin, Mage, and Warlocks are usually the ones with the most rant threads.
