Same problem. But can I play half-life single player still? Seems to me that I should be able to play games that don't require the internets...

Here it rained, snowed, hailed, freezing rain fell, it was sunny, it did basically everything. And If was like that here in the Portland area, Seattle must REALLY suck.

Actually it's a problem with their login files, If u haven't shut your computer off in 24hours You can actually Still play, Which i was just a minute ago, and will in another few minutes.

Yeah, Steam was down today.
I work at a gaming center(pay and play games), and tonight was out LAN night, of which our specialty game is CSS. We had like 6 guys walk in today that wanted to play CSS and they couldnt because steam hates people...We almost lost a lot of money, but they were content with UT 04, fortunately...

This fucking blows. I just got back from college. The one thing home has that college doesnt is CS. My lap top blows hard core and cant play CS, so I can only play it when I get home. And since its a 3 hour drive I dont get home often.
But I come home, all excited to get to play CS again, and the very same fucking day I come home the servers crash. This shit better not last long.

The servers didn't crash. They lost power due to a huge storm.
EDIT: Fuck yeah!!! Steam is working for me now.
