at Target. Got there at 5am, but the people camping since 11pm the previous night got all the tickets. But that's not why I write this...

I was going to stand in line anyways because the 15 people who did get tickets, had to pick it up by 8:30am, store opened at 8am. So I figured what the hell, I'll just wait and see if by chance someone doesn't show up to get a Wii and I'll get lucky. There were 5 other people in line with me doing the same thing. So I get inside at the end of the ticket holder line so I was first in line basically.

I get up there and asked the girl moderating the line check to see if there will be any left, she says "Nope these two people being checked out now got the last two Wii's...but we have 20 PS3s we got in a few days ago if you are interested in that?" I just said no thanks, way too expensive. She offered it to the other folks standing in line behind me and they were all like "no way...that system is way too expensive". I heard her say as I was walking away something to the effect of "yeah I hear that a lot about the PS3..." then I was out of ear shot.

Now granted we all were in line for a Wii so a PS3 wasn't really going to be enticing...but what I found funny is not more then 1 month ago you had all these Ebay auctions of people paying $2000 on up to $9000 for a PS3. Now, they are sitting on store shelves for retail price. It made me chuckle quite a bit at all the wasted money out there for impatient people.

I can wait till next year when the Wii will be more plentiful and hopefully get one with a thicker strap on it...I am in no hurry. Zelda will still be there for me to play :)

Yea fuck the PS3. People just wanted that one week of fame, simply because they wanted a PS3 the week they came out.

Zelda came out on the GC anyway. So really I see no point in the wii at the moment.

Exactly. I'll wait until the next Metroid game or Brawl. No reason to buy it right now.

No way I would play a next gen game on a previous gen console...but that's just me I guess. Can you even give away Gamecubes now? I suppose I will keep mine for my kid when he gets a little older it can be his...but otherwise I am not buying anymore games for an outdated system. Besides, one aspect I loved about OoT was the fishing and fishing with the Wiimote looks hella fun!

Buy the Wii version of Zelda! Zelda takes good use of the wiimote. It adds a wonderful flavor to gameplay. It is truly the best Zelda I've ever played. The hyrule world is so huge!

Who gives a shit about the PS3? If you buy one now and own a PS2; you'll just be purchasing all the same games you already own for more money.

With the WII & 360, you'd at least have something different and enjoyable.
