Maybe for adventure (then again LoZ has a decent sized map) but action in Elder Scrolls isn't as exciting

found elder scrolls to be the most boring POS terrible game of the year. couldnt stand the fighting, so i just ditched it. the interface sucked too. graphics and all that jazz were good.

havent played zelda yet.

Actually, thinking about it, you might be right. I always forget that actual gameplay doesn't really matter, it's all a glorified popularity contest.

Who cares what has the better gameplay dynamics, better engine, better mod support, better community, and the highest potential for a long life. All that crap's unimportant.

Halo is mediocre at best. People will play it and rave that it's the best game ever, and soon after it will be put on the top shelf to be forgotten. You can only milk a series so much until you stray from what the game was originally about. The Halo wars RTS game makes this too obvious.

The story isn't even that good, I just don't see why it still draws in so much attention.

If the origional xbox was launched with better titles, Halo would have been forgotten sooner. People just started to grab any xbox game that was out at the time, and it being one of the few xbox shooters out at the time, made it popular.

Don't get me wrong i LOVE UT but Halo has great gameplay, what do you think made it so big in the beginning?But then again you are right about how it will be chosen as Shooter Of The Year PARTLY based upon its popularity, but then again it got its popularity by being a kickass game sooooooooo

Marathon was the first installment (back in 1991 I think?) and revolved around the Same Halo Universe except 500 Years (or more) later. It was about some guy fighting against 2/3 species of alien and such.

It all got dragged over to Halo, such as the "Marathon" Symbol.

I could go on for hours explaining but I cant be arsed. The Halo Universe is THE biggest when it comes to the Gaming Industry, just check Wiki and compare it to similar big Games (Metroid?).
