PSP Firmware 2.80 kernel exploit found!!

Team C+D have shared a wonderful gift for 2.80 owners this holiday season. It’s a few bytes big and wrapped in a proof-of-concept package — *gives it a shake* — you guessed it, a kernel mode exploit! Its been confirmed by many reputable sources and seems to have true potential.

Nothing has developed from it yet; meaning no downgrader or functioning kernel mode apps. But, be patient! Rest assure the true hackers are working their voodoo magic.

The download below is proof-of-concept; only source code. End-users, sit tight — expect to see some progress in the near future. It’s only a matter of time.

2.80 downgrader is now available:
0okm has released the almighty 2.80 downgrader for non-TA-082 users. Yup, this does not work with TA-082 boards, so don’t ask. Otherwise, if you are an existing 2.80 user and wish to downgrade I highly suggest you follow the instructions very very carefully.

This downgrader has a very low success rate as of now
just take comfort in the fact that the downgrader is possible and it is being improved as we speak

If you dont give a shit that you might brick your PSP, give this a try... but I advise you to wait a bit longer for improvements to be made.

You don't need to buy it, this is the internet, just use bit torrent. I've got Megaman X4 and Tales of Destiny running, it's fucking awesome.
