Suspect felt there was no problem, claiming animal was his to abuse

I really feel sorry for that dog as a pet owner.

No the system needs to be reformed. We need to make a more reasonable way in entering the USA legally.
I know first hand as my 30 year old brother has been trying to get in there for 5 years.
He actually lived and worked illegally in Burbank, Cali. for 1 year

The system of getting in the USA is way to hard, and you need to have alot of $$ to get in.
When I have children I plan to live the last month of my wife's pregnancy in the USA, so my child can be born in the USA, so he can be opened to more possibilites, than just Canada.
Hell, I am considering moving to the USA, with an education-green-card-pass.

Look wether you look at an open border as good or bad, the current immigration process is a terrible mess. There is corruption on both sides of the process and there is unbelievable long.
If the process were easier you would not see that many illegal immigrants.
