View Full Version : Saddam Husseins is gonna die tommorow!
well thats what i hear on the news, Saddam Hussein could be put to death in as little as tommorrow, what are your thougths on this? will it be filmed? will he be hung or shot? as far as im concerned he was a good leader of a country, maybe he wasnt a good person for some of the things he did but every person in power does some evil shit, Iraq was a great country before the US ivaded it and destroyed its culture, land, educational system, and the lives of its citizens, Saddam was a good leader but perhaps a bad human beign, so his death would be justified, right?
If you dont know shit about saddam stfu please, read his biography he made himself to a powerful ruler of a country from a little nobody, his life is an AMAZING story and would make an extremely good movie if done right.

I'm almost positive it will be well documented, sadly it won't be pay per-view.

Hitler did all that crap too.

Yeah besides the fact he killed so many people, and turned the world against his country, he was a pretty good guy.

You could've refrained from cluttering up the forum by simply replying to the thread that's already been made.

If Cheney and the rest of that crowd had any sense of honor they'd rescue Saddam, bring him back to the US for "interrogation" and keep him safe instead. They owe the guy. Twenty years the CIA asset, the American ally, the secular oasis in the oil world, and what's he get for it? A short drop and a quick stop.
But there's going to be a sigh of relief in Washington when Saddam dies without getting the chance to tell a few stories of the good old days.

Too bad Hitler WAS an amazing leader.
The difference here is, the US supplied sadam and his regime, and now are hanging him because of it.
Irony.

Saddam Hussein was supported by the United States because we wanted to have someone in charge who was not seen as a puppet of ours, to oppose the spread of virulent radical Islam by Iran.
We looked at how he governed his people as just the way things were done in that part of the world.
But he went too far.
Invading Kuwait. Use of WMD's on his own people. Repeated attempts to build nuclear weapons. Repeated attempts to destroy Israel. Repeatedly violating the UN resolutions. Repeatedly violating the terms of the 1991 Gulf War Cease Fire. Collusion to bribe UN officials in order to escape suffering from the UN sanctions/Oil For Food Program. And, just for shits and giggles, trying to kill the entire Bush family when it visited Kuwait after GHWB left office.
He might still be in his palaces if he had chilled out. But now he's headed for the BIG chill.
All in all, he'll get what he deserves.

Hell, we tried that with the Shah of Iran and look what happened to Iran!
But you would LOVE that to happen in Iraq. In fact that's EXACTLY what you would have wanted to happen in Iraq, isn't it? :bigwink:

Right now, installing a stable parlaimentary system governed by mullah oversight and no more supportive of Islamic jihad than Iran is, over a unified and organized Iraq, would be a W&Co wet dream. They haven't much chance of an outcome that favorable to their own and US interests, and they know it, but they can pray. There's hope.
The Iranians managed it in just a couple of years, after deposing their thug. But they didn't have such diligent help from the US.

I wish the death penalty in this country was as quick as it is there instead of having criminals being on death row for 20 plus year or more getting appeal after appeal.
he didnt turn the world against his country the US media did.
Exactly.
How dare they report the thousands of corpses found in mass graves for people he ordered to be killed and that his sons probably pulled the trigger on.
How dare the US media report that he did the impossible and got a whopping 100% of a free and democratic vote only to have members of that same population cheer at the announcement of his death sentence 4 years later.
How dare the US media tell us about the gassing of his own people and the invading of Kuwait with the claim "it was rightfully ours all along."
Yeah, not one of Saddams own actions or commands had anything to do with how the world sees him. It was all the US media's fault which is usually regarded as a joke outside of the US (and often times within the US).

This is for the Iraqi people not for the US.
George W. Bush should hang with him. They both kill people.
So did washington, Jackson, Lincoln, FDR, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Nixon, Johnson, Bush, Reagan, Ford, Jefferson, and (shocker) Clinton and even Kerry! And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Better get off the Titanic now and go read through your history books some more. Ordering the death of one or more people goes with the territory of being a national leader.
Nice logic. We should just start killing everyone who gets elected president at the end of their terms because at some point, they all will have issued an order that caused someone's death.

I know what he was referring to, but he said "for killing people" not for "fighting unnecessary wars." Saddam never lied to go to war in the same way Bush has. He needs to rethink his logic.

Esko, first of all, you're an idiot for having Axl Rose in your avatar.
Next, no news sources have said he'll die tomorrow. They've said he may die as soon as this weekend, but we'll probably know a day ahead.

Nah mang, those are fake bombs. You can see the choppyness.
Heres the reals question.....
What do we do with Kim Jong Il? Do we still allow him to sit and enjoy life while his people are suffering?
I guess emotion is only partial when the one who holds the cards does not benefit.

Yep, I even got to carry me a big ole em-seex-tayn! </Redneck accent>
All joking aside, I do believe that Saddam should be put to death, but not so soon. Seems there's more that we can get out of him - even the slightest bit of information about ANYTHING at all - before he is killed. But I honestly did not think the Iraqi people would allow it. I thought for sure he'd get off on some technicality (somehow) and even end up back in power. He's got just that amount of fear into so many of his people that you know damn well it could have happened.

I'm sorry to say but Axl is pretty far down the line in the ranking for Great Rock Stars. Freddy Mercury, Steve Tyler, Angus Young, Kurt Cobain (not my choice), and many others are blocking him from ever achieving anything near that honor. It's up for debate who is the greatest, but he definitely isn't it.
Back on topic...why did you report a splashy headline without watching the actual fucking report itself? Of course it was meant to keep you tuned, but that's so you can actually see what date they set, dammit. You just wasted a thread with reporting an ambiguous and inaccurate hook to keep viewership, and not even bothered to watch the actual report for that hook.

Yeah, killing hundreds of thousands of people was fantastic, right Esko? So the US comes in and the retarded Durkas cant sit the fuck still and have to fight each other. Saddam Hussein was out of his mind, using poison gas on his own people. Watch a documentary about Saddam and his sons Udei and Qusei (sp). Watch how fucked up these people were and what they did and then accuse the Coalition of being worse. Fuck you.

you dumb shit. they said it can happen in AS LITTLE as tommorrow so its a possibility, even so this thread is reserved with all things regarding saddams death sentence.

Refrain from the personal attacks, there, big guy. It's bannable.
If you're gonna make a thread in CE, at least make an effort to get the facts. What you did is equivailent to making a thread, and quoting nothing in it but the headline: totally useless. If you got something to share, why couldn't you look the story up online so you'd have something more than "hey, they said on MSNBC that they were gonna talk about Saddam possibly being killed tomorrow, but I changed the channel before the actual story started after the commercial because I wanted to stick it to the man for trying to hook me with a flashy headline, but I still feel strongly enough about the headline to make a thread."
