it's unbelievable, looks fun as shit, and now with this whole nano-suit aspect it REALLY hightens the gameplay, hell that feature alone makes the game transcend FPS. FUCK YES FOR CRYSIS, THANK YOU CRYTECH! first far cry, now this!
possible game of the year here.
the graphics are umbelievable even for a standard definition footage taping a PC screen. too bad i don't have $600 to burn!

^Yeah, I agree with rand0m.
But I think the game will be great on a graphic level and also a gameplay level. I doubt we will see a let down.

Funny that I was looking at what kind of a computer would need to run this.
Here is what I found.
Crysis will no doubt be a fairly demanding game. It will require a good system to perform well. However, CryEngine2 is very scalable so lower end machines will still stand a chance.
Here is a list of confirmed information...
* Crysis will run on both DX9 & DX10 as well as Windows XP and Windows Vista.
* A graphics card that supports Shader Model 2 or higher is required.
* CryEngine2 is estimated to scale back 2 years, and scale ahead 1.5 years.
* A single 7800GTX will run the game quite well on fairly high settings according to Crysis Art Director, Michael Khaimzon.
* Jack Mamais of Crytek said in an exclusive Crysis-Online interview that his X1900XT runs the game very well at reasonably high settings ( still unoptmized ).
* Crysis will dynamically utilize all processing threads available. Meaning quad-core processors will be supported.
The following specs are estimates made by myself based on the above mentioned information and other sources. These estimates are NOT official - but are based on official information.
Minimum Requirements
CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6200 or ATI X1300 - Shader Model 2.0
RAM: 768MB on Windows XP or 1GB on Windows Vista
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP
Recommended Requirements
CPU: Dual-core CPU (Athlon X2/Pentium D)
Graphics: Nvidia 7600GT or ATI X1800GTO (SM 3.0) or DX10 equivalent
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP
Once again, these are estimates only and are no way official. I just want to makesure that is clear. However, if you have a graphics card similiar in performance to, or better than a 7800GTX, then expect to play Crysis quite nicely ( presuming your other system specs are up to scratch ).
Thats from http://www.crysis-online.com/Information/System%20Requirements/
Also on that site it says it won't most likely becoming to consoles.

If I had a penny for every time I heard that.
I always feel like I misenterpret these claims.
It says 2.8GHZ Intel, I have a 1.86Ghz Conroe, which is equal to like a damned 4.7GHz Pentium D. They never specify ;/, by the way they say it I'm in the stoneage with processors.
I cannot OC my processor, something wrong, people claim 2.9GHz out of a 1.86ghz Conroe on air. I've OC'd before, I bought everything I need to properly OC and this bastard just cannot even break the 2.0GHZ barrier.
Meh, I'm just going to go with the next generation of DX10 cards to comeout and maybe put my system up to 3GB ram from the 2gb it has now. My processor should be good enough for a year or so.

This game would make a PS3 explode.
Super hyped for Crysis, and upon seeing the different nanosuit features I nearly fell to my knees and cried. I had heard about this before, but it is so much cooler than I could ever imagine. I thought that strength would allow you to jump twice as high or something like that, not jump moon style and throw trash containers at enemies. I also thought that the speed thing would be a small boost to speed, not an incredibly fast dash. The more I see this game, the more good things I see.
