Why is it that all games with the "games for Windows" label wont install on windows 2k?
Windows 2k is a windows operating system!
I've tinkered with some game betas with that label and get them to run fine. but the full release never Installs (didnt say wont run) on 2k.
Granted win2k is geting old,but i have never had any problems with any other games and windows 2k (WOW installs and so does medieval 2)
There isnt a big difference in win2k and xp to my knowledge.
I dont think there is a conflict between the newer games coming out and win2k because every game i've played runs fine.
I know i'm not the only one left in the world with windows 2k,so when they decided to make it only for xp and vista imo they narrowed their market a bit just to boost sales for the newer Operating systems.
On that note who would warrant A reinstall all their programs to a new o/s just to be able to play a select few Windows labeled games?
Maybe i'm missing something though, but thats the only logical explanation i can come up with.
Anyone else get find this a bit crappy?

because your an idiot? The Games for Windows platform was designed for Vista, not XP, and definitely not 2k

Why the hell are you using 2K? That was abandoned long ago as an OS for servers, and why should companies try to support three different Windows OS's when 90% of people have XP or will have Vista. It's not really fair for you to say they have to backpedal to pick you up too

Wow, lots of hate for win2k in here. Even if it is old, we're not talking about MS-DOS or win3.1 here. It isn't that hard to make things work in win2k if programmers stick with directx.

I use windows 2k, and in my opinion, less bugs, and it runs a whole lot smoother.
