I want to run a UMD dumper on my 2.81 PSP but none support it. Im thinking of using Dark Alex Custom Firmware 3.03 but what are the chances of running homebrew on that, will i need to upgrade mine to a 3.03

Help me out here.

Fuck no, you need to wait for a downgrader, and that's only if you don't have the evil mobo. You can only use custom firmwares if you have 1.5 to begin with. I guess the next downgrader might be for 3.00, so don't update and wait. At the rate the homebrew scene is going, I'd say it'll be a month or two, probably less.

I'm on DAX's 3.03 OE-B custom firmware and im loving it

3.03 OE-B:

-Runs ALL homebrew
-Runs ISOs from the XMB (game menu)
-Can play original play station games at full speed
-can over-clocked to be run at 333MHz (vice city stories runs perfectly)

yeah you have to wait for a downgrader which may sound sucky but i highly recommend it. I use homebrew waaaay more than i use anything sony gives us.Besides ps1 emulator and browser :-P 3.03 OE firmware =pwnage
