My take on the PS3

Ok, today got home from school, walked in my house and my dad is playing a ps3, i was like whoa when did you get that, he got it while i was at school, he bought resistance,madden, and marvel. ok that was how it came to be in my house.

i am a proud owner of a 360, i used to hate sony, for no good reason really, so i sat down with my dad played some madden, and when he was bored of it i poped in resistance, i love it, its a really good shooter, though i set my standards for shooters rather high, because of halo 2. (im not trying to say halo 2 is better but that game sets the standards for a shooter casue it has everyting i am looking for in a shooter, good maps balance weapons, amazing online.) So really every shooter i play i am a little disappointed with. ok enough rambling on. I was very pleased with the system, the user interface was really good, i love the fact that it has wifi. The only thing that i see wrong with the system is the online play, if they can get as organized as microsoft is with it, then ps3 will win the console wars hands down. and this is coming from a xbox fanboy, all in all the system is worth every penny. and sony really hasnt even revealed the power of the system yet, i cant wait for msg4, that game is going to be so cool, that will really show off how well the ps3 can perform.

this may be a pointless post but i just thought i would share my expeirence with the ps3 to you guys.

I actually appreciate your post. It takes guts for someone who enjoys a particular style or way-of-life (in your case, the X-Box 360) to allow adaptation to compensate for a change. You tested the PlayStation 3 and if you had hated it or loved it, either opinion would have been welcome.

The same can't be said for the majority of people in this forum.

I wouldn't say they would win hands-down since most of the PS3 fanatics that I know have switched over to

Wii60 already. I currently believe that the Nintendo Wii will prove to be the #1 competitor against the 360.

However, there is plenty of time and probably many chances available for Sony to bring themselves to the top

but that can be said for all three.

I really don't care what's on top. I'm getting a 360 first, then a Wii (after a year or so) and then a PS3 when

it goes down to $150 or something. I have never really liked anything available on the Playstation that wasn't

already offered (sometimes with better versions) on another console. I only bought the PS2 slimline because I

wanted to play a game that was only available on the PS2 (even though the first two were on the Xbox and the

PS2 :mad: ) The Playstations did have a ton of good games that were exclusive only to it but I was never really

interested in them (Final Fantasy/Metal Gear Solid for example). I have played the PS3 and I was kinda

depressed that they still use the same basic controller scheme... I've always hated the way they feel.

I have a 360 and PS3.

The 360 feels a little more organized and the PS3 feels like it's gonna surprise me one of these days. It has a lot of potential, just need the people to use it.

I have both also. I have resistance and it is good but im waiting for the real good games to come out so it can bring more out of the PS3. Im trying to get Blu-ray to look good ATM.

My dad bought a PS3 too (well, I took it home from the store, because I saw one and knew that he wanted one). He always spends tons of money on setting up the entertainment system and buys every Madden game but he's never home to use it - I think I've seen him play Madden like twice in the last 7 years... But that just means that when I come home I have a nice free little setup, woo!

If this was the only thread like it then Yeah I would say "no big deal." But every asshole who buys a new system doesn't need to start a new thread to tell us about his new system, NO MATTER WHAT SYSTEM IT IS. There is already an "I have a PS3 thread so why couldn't he put his .02$ in there?
