Crysis coming to Xbox 360...no word on PS3 version

Crysis coming to consoles...exclusively to xbox 360
in an interview with the website www.1up.com it was revealed that Crysis will head to the 360, but will be an alternate retelling, but set in the same way as the PC version, and according to crytek will be based on Direct X9 with many tweeks rather than Direct X10. Crytek believes they can replicate PC crysis pretty close on the 360. However nothing was said of a PS3 version.

basically, far cry is to far cry instincts, as crysis is to 360 crysis

... Who where they interviewing again? Since all the main developers for Crysis have strong foreign accents, since its made in Europe.

If you have watched any of the videos released lately all the voices are in perfect english.

it will probably look good, but not as good as on my 8800gts. considering the 360 and ps3 dont support dx10, it wont be near as good looking as the pc version. not to mention my gts has more ram on it than the total ram on either system. heh.

How is the GTS? I have a new computer with it but I'm waiting for the hard drive to get back from Newegg so I havent been able to use it.

i think strike meant that 1up interviewed crytek at CES, not in the podcast.

anyway, this is HUGE news for the 360, if it doesn't come to the ps3, chalk up another exclusive and another selling point for the 360.

i'm not forking out hundreds on a damn video card for a game.

i know Direct X9 won't look as good as Direct X10, but hey, we've all seen gears, i'm confident that Crytek can still make this look like a beast of a game.

yeah there's no doubt the PC version will look better, Direct X10 is just so much of an advance in gaming technology.

it's a shame PC gaming is so expensive, otherwise i'd still be as big on PC as i used to be, i'm just not ready to fork over $600 for a video card when i can get an xbox 360 and wii for less than that.

I was thinking the same thing, but with FarCry Instincts for the Xbox instead. I remember reading that Crysis runs just fine on a single core CPU with an 8800. The graphics shouldn't have to suffer too much, since the Xbox360 version would be running at 720p resolution, too. Of course, it's still DX9.
