Sales are climbing:

Friday 12 January 2007- even though Lost Planet is out in stores across Europe from today onwards, its doing extremely well. Fisco has stated that the game, made by Capcom, has sold over 1.040.000 copies in the US and Europe together, and has therefore reached the one million limit in no-time.

Before the launch of the game, Capcom made a prognosis, hoping to sell the game at least 740.000 times. They have therefore reached and passed this amount by far on the european launch day. We ourselves were also very enthousiastic about Lost Planet, you can check our review here.

Not bad, right after the 10.4+ 360 sales were announced this got around. If I wasn't dry for money I'd of picked this up on Launch even though I need to catch up on the backlog of Games I still don't own (Viva Pinata/Elebits/RB6/etc).

Great news for Capcom, with this sort of interest it might make them sign the Contract so they'll be under MS's Arsenal. (http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2007/01/12/rumor-ms-has-purchased-capcom/) Though it's still a rumour I found on another Forum.

And also a question. Anyone got some user feedback? This games getting some pretty mixed Reviews because it's acting like an Old-School Retro with Next-Gen capabilities. It's getting as high as Nines and as lows as Sixes, anyone wanna spill their take?

good news for MS and 360 fans. Dead Rising and Lost planet selling this well means more exclusive games for xbox 360.

I hate it...it looks pretty, but the game engine sucks...its a really bad shooter and feels incredibly cheap...

I dont know, I am extremely dissapointed with it, I was expecting something different, or better...

It's meant to be an old style TPS. It's not meant to be anything new but trying to revive an older style.

Or are you just trolling?

Anyway, I've decided I'm going to go for it, I played the Online Demo from Live! and it's fucking awesome. Not bad for a January Release I guess.

i tried it tonight and for some reason it reminded me of the last couple of metroid games. Probably not as good as them or GoW, i'll have to play some more :bigwink:

I guess it just isnt really the tight FPS/TPS game I was expecting like Halo or Gears of War...

The online Demo is great the only thing that really bothers me is that it would play better on a computer, but other than that the graphics can look amazing at times and it's very fun from what I've played.

I haven't played it, but it looks like Jet Force Gemini... which was alright, but the kind of game that sucks to play with analog sticks.

My friend rented it and well its just not my game.

I played the online demo and sorta liked it but i get so pissed off because of how there are the giant super guns such as the homing laser and you can't do shit about it.

Truth is I suck at it so I hate it.

It's definitely an older style game, just with next gen graphics etc.

I played the single player demo a while back and it was pretty good. I think I'll give it a rent and see how it is.

So I borrowed this from my manager on wednesday and spent all of about 20 mins playing it until it got taken out and Gears of War went back in.

I really dont like it... & the wierd thing is I couldnt tell you exactly why.. I'm just not feeling it.

Single player is a lot of fun. The story line is annoying though because it's a Japanese game, their culture is just too goofy.

Multiplayer is pretty terrible though.
