New mobo, modest, but time for a game upgrade

I recently happened across my new, modest motherboard, the ASUS A8N-VM. I've been out of the PC gaming market for YEARS since I've never really had a computer worth playing on, but now I'm wondering what..new...ish games I could involve myself with. I like horror, and ZORK type games, mostly.

Geforce 6100 GPU

those are ok. not brilliant, but ok.

download steam, they have a great catalogue of free and 3rd party games. alot of them low spec too.

I understand that, it's just that I've been out of the market for so long, I'm sure there's some good stuff I've missed.
