Looks good, what are you going to use it for and what is your personal preference? I know for a TV to display true HD in non-compressed or rescaled images the TV has to be at least 50" widescreen, anything smaller the TV's internal video scaler will compress the initial HD signal to fit the TV. That doesn't mean you'll see a significant difference though, maybe from a side-by-side comparison but most people aren't so critical about their TVs.

How about some suggestions then please. I'm planning on putting it in the home theater room, so it's going to be used primarily for movies and some gaming (PS3). I don't really plan on watching regular television on it.

What is your budget and are you strictly looking for a flat panel TV or would you go for rear projection, DLP or a HD projector?

Under $2500 I'd say. I've been debating over Plasma and LCD a while now and I've decided that plasma is a dying technology. LCD has seemed to catch up with it since the refresh rates have been improved so much, plus you don't have to worry about image burn in. Basically, whatever will give me the best image quality for the best price.

Plasma and LCD aren't going anywhere, I forgot who but one manufacture dropped its entire line of LCDs in favor of plasma TVs. Plasma TVs are more expensive but they generally have better picture than a standard LCD.

Then again they just came out with organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) TVs, which is supposedly better than both. I'll look around for cool Vs and post later.
