I couldn't be happier. Right when I saw him up for grabs I knew we would get him. Only think now that I'm pissed about is the plans to send Nazr to the timberwolves for some shitty PG Marko Jaric, never heard of the guy. I think it would be better for us to keep nazr and look for something better, but whatever.
Status Alert: Minnesota is close to a deal that would send Jaric to the Pistons for Nazr Mohammed, Antonio McDyess or Dale Davis, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Meanwhile, Jaric is still expected to miss another week with a thumb injury. (Jan 15)

He had the Mavs on his short list but I was really hoping he wouldn't come here. Old, injury prone, plays no defense, and has never had good chemistry with a team.

You don't know your NBA very well, my friend. Marko Jaric is a good PG, although, when he first went to Minnesota from the Clippers, he was expected to do ALOT more than he actually did. He can be a consistent outside shooter, and down the stretch, that may be what the Pistons need to push them through to make championship run. Let's face it, right now, Detroit doesn't have someone who can consistently come in off the bench and knock down some long range shots ala Brent Barry, James Posey, Raja Bell. Jaric could very well do that for them.
I'm excited to see Webber play in Detroit. That's his hometown. Although Webber may be playing on 2 bum knees, the guy is a SMART basketball player, and can produce for you just based on instincts alone.

They should put him in charge of calling timeouts. Always. :)
Seriously though, I am glad he did not end up in a Mavs uniform. Not that I dislike the guy or anything, I just don't think it would be a good fit.

Never a standout nba player? At one point he had the biggest contract in the NBA... I think that qualifies him as a bonafide superstar, nevermind his 21/10 career average. He's also one of the best passing big men of all time.

Exactly. He is smart and passes well... He is 5 times better than Nazr so I dunno why the fuck anyone would say "Detroit doesn't need him" as they have a SHITTY center. Jarko or whatever the fuck his name is sounds lame... Reminds me of darko i guess that's why I judged him so badly. But i do know my basketball and I've never heard of him. So 'my bad'. Who can't shoot threes? Billups, Prince, Walllace, Hamilton, and now we got Webber who is decent. (262-877 .299) So wtf? We don't need perimeter shooting.
