Looking for a fun single player game

Because of the first snow and cold of the season, I'm forced to spend some hours at home. I just went through some multiplayer games, but they bore me pretty quick.

Basically, I'm looking for almost any kind of game for PC or for emulators, I want a good story line too.

Earthbound for the SNES. One of the best game I've ever played. Great plot, very funny, takes a little bit for it to pick up, but once it does the game becomes a dope trip.

I've been playing the crap out of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War! I'd highly recommend that. Its a Real Time Strategy, and its awesome! I normally don't play RTS games, but I got hooked on this one. I bought the gold edition that came with the Winter Assault expansion, which is good as well. Plus they have a second expansion called Dark Crusade.

If you are into RTS games, and haven't played it, I'd say go for it. If not, download the demo for Dawn of War, try it out, it will keep you busy for the winter, I'm sure.

I've played both chrono trigger and earthbound before, good games.

As for fallout, I've tried it once but didn't like the style. I will check out what Myth looks like though.

I will also check out the demo for warhammer, btw I do like rts (age of empires and warcraft style).

As for Prey, I will download the demo first, if there is any.

Super Mario RPG on the SNES, fantastic game.

Crimson Land for the PC, downloadable demo, and you can purchase the full game (online) for 20 bucks. Definitely worth it.

Almost forgot, the obligatory Mount and Blade. Also has a demo, and is also purhcasable for a low price of 20 dollars or so. Also fantastic.

All should be easy to google. If anything, Crimson Land is a great arcade game that you can always come back to. I still pick it up from time to time. And Mount and Blade will keep you busy for several hours.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Fun single player, very expansive. Lots of ways to play the game, you can do whatever the hell you want. Plus you can also download mods to modify the game any way you like. There are a lot of mods for this game. A LOT.

I also like the other games you've been recommended, like AOE. That is a great game as well. FEAR totally rocks too.

You might be dissapointed. They changed it a bit, added some things here and there which gave it a whole new feel.
