Jeez what a jerk. There was a 100 percent certainty jerry jones would've given him an extension on his contract + a raise when he hardly even got anything accomplished in the first place. The cowboys are freaking loaded and of all the times he had to leave now. The 2007 season would've (in my opinion) been a great one for the cowboys. Everything would've clicked. Now we have to break in a new coach to the players and break the players into the new coach.

Yea but the eagles are still alot better, and having TO on the field isnt a bad thing. Atleast you got the edge over the giants

Ill take four runs of 5 yards over 250 yards and 3 TDs any day.
plus jacobs is a nice back, but im still much happier that tiki is gone, plus the skins D sucked balls this year, something that will not happen next year, so long as we dont have 2x as many injuries as we had this year.

I'm glad he's gone, especially after losing Zimmer. And knowing how Parcells restricts the creativity of his offensive and defensive coordinators, who would work for him? My guess is that it would have been very difficult to find a replacement. At least with Parcells gone, there is hope for a more opportunistic coach.

No skin off my back. I just wish he hadn't waited so long to announce his decision. Maybe we should bring back Chan Gailey. No seriously.

Zimmer sucks balls. Parcells restricts the creativity of his offense and defense? Are you fucking serious? Who would work for him? Well obviously Belichick, Weis, Crennel, Coughlin, etc. didn't have a problem working with him. You say who would want to work for Parcells? Who would want to work for Jerry Jones? People(well just homer cowboy fans) like to forget that they were 5-11 the 3 years before Parcells, then they act as if 3/4 winning seasons was a bad job.

Yeah but having him in the locker room is. And say the Giants won't do well all you want, even with devastating injuries and several exhausting losses they lost @Philly by a last minute FG. Mark my words, the Cowboys will finish last in the '07 season.
P.S. T.O. is a dick for saying what he said about Parcells to the media.

I know in the locker room he is bad for the team, i hope to god they let him go, but on the field hes usually good. Hes overrated though, terry glenn was more consistent then him and people say TO is in the top 3 in the league WRs still.
And if the giants had the same team as last year they would be good without injuries but with their whole offense retiring i dont know how they would possibly be good.

People(well just homer cowboy fans) like to forget that they were 5-11 the 3 years before Parcells, then they act as if 3/4 winning seasons was a bad job. I am serious. I enjoy a serious fucking, too, but that's besides the point. And the point is that most coaches love watching the product of their creativity. On both sides of the ball, coordinators complained about Big Bill's disposition against them by Bill saying something along the lines of "Creativity creates risks. I don't like risks." Bill had total control of the play book, which none of his assistants could diversify or strengthen without his boring approval. He'd rather stick with his conservative philosophy, which ironically made some games closer than necessary, and cost them some games. Their loss in the wild card game is the perfect example of this. He didn't test Seattle's depleted secondary. He didn't attack aggressively enough. He didn't take risks. He gradually progressed the game to a standstill and put the team in a notorious do-or-die situation that resulted in a botched field goal.
I'm a "homer" Cowboy fan as you would say. But you're putting words in our mouth. Most of us like what Parcells did here regarding past drafts, switching to the 3-4, creating a winning season, etc. We believe he's a good coach who's destined for the Hall of Fame. However, his style of football is outdated.

He'll be back. Not with Dallas, but I think he returns to NYG after the fire Coughlin this season.
