I know what you mean. As musicians, they aren't really much to write home about. The riffs and drums are basic, but somehow they come together to form something that is greater than the sum of it's parts.

And their live show is just the best. Ever.

It's Du hast mich, not mesh.

Also, hast means have, but either hasst or haast (forget the spelling) means hate. So it can mean either "You have me" or "You hate me." Pretty clever.........and the song is a play on German wedding vows. Some girl asks some guy to marry her, and he says no.

I'm a big fan of German/Swedish/Finnish power metal but I also like Rammstein. They're a great band, how can you say they're a disgrace.

I also translated all the lyrics of their songs so I knew what Till was saying. That was a while ago now, so I've forgot what they mean. But I prefer it that way.

That was a mistake IMO. When you translate the lyrics they lose their magic. He's just singing about sex, drugs, social issues, and other crap that every other band sings about. It's better to not know exactly what he's saying so you can pretend he's singing about invading Poland or throwing people in ovens or other cool shit like that.
