Tim Armstrong, the lead singer and guitarist from the band Rancid is doin some solo stuff. He's only released 2 songs, and he plans to put the rest of them out over the internet.

I personally think his solo stuff is great. It's relaxed, and it isn't as repetetive as the Transplants stuff. I don't think it is as good as Rancid's music, but it competes. It has a sweet reggae feel and it's just sweet. Check his music out at

Tim Armstrong rules. Solo stuff seems to be alright, but I still want to hear some more of it.....

Rancid has a new album coming out this spring, so thats probably why there hasnt been much news about this. His solo album was actually supposed to be out last year.

tim armstrong is a great musician. rancid kicks ass. and tim has released at least one album a year(with rancid, his solo career, transplants, and other bands hes been in) for like 10 or more years now. maybe less, not sure.

Yeah, the rest of the album will hopefully be just as sweet, and maybe some more upbeat reggae -ish type of music. And Rancid's new album in the spring will probably be awesome too.
