Prince Bin Talal to build 150-room hotel on Tel Aviv's coastline

Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is in negotiations to build a hotel on Tel Aviv's coastline.
Two architects have already started working on the project. The one is Bin Talal's private architect, who had worked with him on oriental hotels across the world, Basel al-Beiti. The other is former Tel Aviv Chief City Engineer, Yisrael Gudovich.
The planned project is a joint venture with the Abulafya family, which owns a structure on a 1-acre plot on Herbert Samuel Street.
According to the blueprints submitted to the Tel Aviv Municipality, an eight-story, 150-room hotel is planned to be built on the site.
Bin Talal is the nephew of the late Saudi King Faisal, and is believed to be worth $26.4 billion.
The prince's empire includes holdings in banks, financing and investment firms, hi-tech and communications companies, leading hotels in the United States, Europe and the Arab world, and tourist sites.

Halal breakfast in bed and a Quran in every room?
The Saudis love their luxury.
Not sure who's getting the rotten side of the deal with all these Rich Princes and Kings, though.
Should be a nice hotel, probably the best on Tel-Aviv when it opens.
Regardless, in prospect I see some people "boycotting" the hotel for idealistic causes. Could definitely work under the right management, though.

That prince could have smeared shit on the white house, and got nothing for it.
When you are a part of a royal family that owns a large sum of the oil on this planet, you are bound to get special treatment.
Do those guys Bathe in money, or what?
I saw some of their homes, and it's absolutely insane. They buy hotels just for themselves to live in. What's the poverty status in Saudi Arabia?

Funny you mention that. I read an article before that every member of the royal family gets 1 million riyals (Saudi currency) a month, thats quite a bit seeing as how their are nearly 7000 members. The country is pretty much fucked as soon as their oil runs out aside from the royals who are going to run to the west and live off their foreign investments and swiss bank accounts. Which is why I speculate they are investing their money in foreign countries instead of their own. While their own country has a huge number of unemployed people and a large number of foreign workers from Asia, their is literally no industry what so ever aside from oil.
The funny thing is his guys father mentioned in the article was a lead opposer of Israel and the US, backing the 73 oil embargo. Hell they had a quote about him saying that he would leave under the palm trees and eat dates rather then fund their murder. Funny thing is he was assassinated the next year, many believe by the US.
I hope Israel just takes his fucking hotel from him, that would be hilarious.
oh and I almost forgot the link csite posted, if this occurred back in his home country nothing would have happened to him. Hell fi he purposefully ran him over nothing would happen. As for the average Saudi he'd receive lashings for drinking and time in jail...
Furthermore, just out of curiosity, isn't drinking anything alcoholic strictly forbidden by Islamic law?
Are all the royal families devout Muslims or is there hope for a secular movement in a Muslim country's leadership?

The saudi royal family is nothing but a group of corrupts, no diffrent to those african leaders who would rather watch their people starve to death than give up their gold and diomonds!
Most arabs earn a good wage doing nothing sitting at home! ie their wage is about $6,000 - $8,000 per year for the average person but in saudi arabia things are cheap!
The problem with saudi arabia is they are so backwards, they dont let their women drive or have jobs for that matter, they dont see university education as that important and they rely mostly on indian, pakistani and chinese workforce to do their work for them. Ofcourse since the arabs get lots of free money doing nothing or very little they just dont seem to care, but if oil was to suddenly crash in price perhaps then arabs would wake up to the fact that they are being ripped off and get rid of this family of alcoholic corrupt morons.
