Help with Flash Logo

Hi, ive been given a logo to animate by my girlfriends dad whos a webdesigner.
Stupidly i said "Yeah i can use flash" do impress the gf.:cool:
Needless to say ive never actually used flash b4. So was looking for a few pointers. I need the logo to start off from a Point and spiral round following the outline of the L then the main words to appear. A pic of the logo is below aswell as a little mock up i did in paint. If anyone can help me out id be grateful. Coz flash is doing my tits in:banghead:

For that effect you basically have to slowly erase the picture and then have it play backwards.

I havn't played with flash in a while so my technical explanation is pretty shitty, but you shouldn't have too much trouble.
