so, im trading in my rick 4001 for something a bit more playable.
they say they'll give me $1700 for it (its a 1977) and i want to spend about $600-$700.
i was looking at a ibanez BTB 5 string
or a Fender Jaguar Basso
or a warwick rockbass 5 string
or any other suggestions?

I myself prefer fender basses.

Play a lot of basses. A LOT and figure out how they feel to you. Take into consideration how they will feel after they are set up correctly. I was at Guitar Center yesterday and I probably only found 1 guitar that I felt was set up worth a shit.

so what do you guys think i should get for a 1974 rick 4001? good condition, one ding tahts hardly noticeable. Gutiar center said they will give me $1000, and i think thats crap. and really weaird because when iw ent there about a month ago he thought it was a 77 and he was gonna give me $1700 for it. although this time they called their vintage hollywood store.
what do you guyst think?
