I doubt it this early in production though. Probably more like a selective beta or an announcement on some groundbreaking new features.

Probably an announcement relevant to the plot of the game. They released a whole bunch of tech demos so it's probably not more tech stuff. Of course, it looks pretty near finished so a beta could be an idea.
