I think this was done once before, but not in a long time.
Just post you're favorite TV theme songs, here's mine:

Ren & Stimpy. A badass jazzy little guitar solo which I just learned on my friend's acoustic yesterday. It's fuckin fun to play and not as hard as I thought it would be. I'm now working on converting it to my bass.

Sienfeld. I have a rocky history with this one. I was once told that Claypool recorded the bass track for that song, which I never fully believed because it's just so far from his style. Even knowing it wasn't him, for some reason it pissed me off when I found out it's actually some random dude using a synthesizer. Regardless, the guy knows his bass theory and wrote a sick theme song.

CSI. I can't stand the show, it's total garbage. But I mean, come on, it's The Who.

Tales From The Crypt. Just fucking AWESOME, plain & simple.

Wow, when looking up the theme to Monk (It's a Jungle Out There by Randy Newman) I discovered that the Leland Stottlemeyer character is played by the same actor who was Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. WTF, I'm not sure how that didn't click in my head earlier, I've seen both Silence of the Lambs and Monk countless times.

Some of these have already been mentioned, but whatever...
Airwolf, Magnum, Knight Rider, The Munsters, The Professionals (70's UK TV show, not to be confused with any other show of the same name), The A-Team (fuck off, I like it), Battlestar Galactica (both old & new versions), Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

I admire the people who compose TV theme tunes. They have to squeeze in a beginning, middle and an end into what's usually about 90/100 seconds, and they have to make the tune exciting enough to draw people in and keep them wathcing, and also make the tune somehow relevent to the show - not an easy task, I would have thought. So yeah, props to all the forgotten guys that write music for TV shows.
