itunes/ipod question

ok so i have an ipon nano 4 gig full of music that used to have on my computer and i want to change some music on it but all the music on my computer got deleted so i am afraid to plug it in incase it deletes all of it from my computer

i was wondering if theres a way i can copy the music files from my ipod onto the computer so i can still have music on my ipod
