What was that game?

I remember seeing a video in the video forum ages ago that was introducing a game in development. Basically what you did was create a lifeform, which you then helped to evolve over millions of years until you become intelligent, at which point you start building camps, then cities, until eventually you become so advanced you start to explore space, then colonize other planets, then go to war with other planets, etc etc. Just one huge RTS game really...

Anybody remember what it was called, and what the status is? I'd really love to play it.

Yup, it's called Spore, and apparently will be released later this year.

Yea its not going to be too demanding on your pc. As long as you have the basics it should run smoothly.

The graphics are going to be so-so I guess but the instalation is probably going to include 4 massive dvds. No?

It's being published by EA. If EA says it will be released sometime this year, then it will be released sometime later this year, finished or not. Also, save up some money over time, because, again, it's EA, there will be about 5 booster or expansion packs for the game.

All that aside, I'm seriously looking forward to creating my own race and conquering the galaxy!
