yahoo has a feature that makes sounds like a manual typewriter
when you type. I'd like that on my pc all the time but haven't found a
free download for it.

Sorry, I've never heard of any program that would annoy you system-wide, such as this.

Maybe just buy some kind of special keyboard that naturally makes the sound...?

The software on that page shows to be Shareware, which is basically Try-before-you-buy.

On the same page is a Freeware download, which is free to download and use for life.
