Seriously, I haven't found any good rock music/group that is recent... everything on the radio is the same crappy emo/pop/rap boring music...
So, I ask you, people with good taste on music, which are some actual good rock bands or songs worth hearing to?
Thanks...

Depends what you're into. I've seen an unsigned band here in London a couple of times. The lead singer's got a cracking voice and is quite cute. Rock... not too heavy, not too soft, not indie or emo. Decent tunes.
They're called The Fluids... with an official site (http://thefluids.com) and MySpace (http://myspace.com/thefluids) page. See what you think :)
Also saw a very good tribute band last night called Shrink Floyd(!) at a local pub. Excellent. The lead singer/guitarist/keyboardist was first class.

Velvet Revolver - they have a new album coming out hopefully this spring which is going to by leaps above 'Contraband' musically according to the members.
Buckcherry - great sounding raw rock n' roll band, check out their album '15', and NOT just "Crazy Bitch".
Silvertide - these guys remind me of a harder Black Crowes, because the lead singer sounds so similar to theirs, but theyre another great rock n roll band.
... those are some of the modern bands I personally enjoy.

im not the hugest fan, but i'd recommend black stone cherry. they have a nice bluesy southern rock sound. they were on headbangers ball for some reason, even though they're not metal at all...

Try some Alkaline Trio.
They've been around forever, nobody really started noticing them till recently.
Not too heavy, not too soft... Try Radio on for size, awesome song by them.

Marillion
Pain of Salvation
Chroma Key
Porcupine Tree
Riverside
You must listen to these bands. Suprisingly, all of these bands are pretty modern .. I know porcupine tree and marillion have CDs coming out this year. Pain of Salvation just released a CD. Not sure about the other two, but they have definately released CDs in the past 3-4 years.
I'll be happy to help with any song/album selections.

The only good new rock music left today is the new Guns N Roses, seriously, im not just saying that because im a huge fan but because the unfinished demos that are on the web that are downloadable are better than anything out there.

It has been proven in recent pie charts and other types of geometric shapes that Doomriders are the greatest band in existence. But, don't get too close to them, their radioactive skin will melt you eyes if you look at them too long.

Check out Death From Above 1979. They play with a distorted bass and drums, no guitar. Sounds awesome.
And of course, The Unicorns, for they are sex.

I recently got into the Killers. Good, solid rock. Sam's Town is a great album.
The Killers are atrocious, generic, pop-rock. The original poster is looking for actually "good" rock bands, ie) not The Killers.
Ill throw in Nine Inch Nails, not exactly "rock", but great music with wide variety.
