I noticed Stalker hit the torrents hard yesterday and Gamespot has a full review.

I thought the game wasn't supposed to be released until the 23rd. Has it been released early in Europe or is it a leak, and does anyone have it yet?

I already got the full ISO on my comp. haven't bothered with it yet cuz im busy playing god of war II.

I'm sure that Gamespot had an advance copy... Any company that reviews games likes to have their review out first. I don't know if any of the torrents work, but I went to Target and Gamestop today to see if it was there... Got a hold for it to pick up tomorrow at Gamestop

8.5 is also just a matter of opinion, and the reviewers are not the same for every game, so they will tend to feel different in some respects.

8.5 is good, but the cons they stated were pretty huge; i HATE bugs, it'll make me uninstall a game like immediately.

and fps have no place on my hard drive lower than a 9.0 if there are games like FEAR, hl2 on my desktop :)

I heard that they are going to release a patch shortly, and that the majority of the bugs have to do with installing it on Vista... XP is supposed to be fine.

Some of the bugs are pretty big yes... but can be fixed by a patch no problems. A few triggered events can be rescripted through a patch.

Well, I'm playing it right now, about a half hour in... Haven't run into any bugs yet with XP. I'm loving it so far... Even if the gameplay sucked, I would play it anyways, just for the atmosphere - it's fucking cool, that's all you can say about it. Fortunately, the gameplay doesn't suck.

I have a dual core 4200+, two gigs of ram, and two 6800's in sli... I can do high settings with 1024x768 and do fine... I think your 7600 will let you go higher
