Does it ever end with this administration? I don't know what the point of this would be unless the administration intended to lie and didn't want to perjure themselves.

Meanwhile....

...the Senate on Tuesday voted 94-2 to pass a bill that cancels a provision of the Patriot Act that allowed federal prosecutors to be appointed and serve without confirmation by the Senate.

I don't understand how this administration can keep asking for good faith and then avoiding accountability when everything goes to shit.

Well, that way when we find out 3 months from now that they lied to the Senate, the apologists will be able to say "well, they weren't under oath".

Nope, it really never ends. This admin has had enough scandals to last 50 years.

We've got a novel idea coming from the White House now: that checks and balances stuff you may have heard about in high school civics? please - - -

The executive branch is under no compulsion to testify to Congress, because Congress in fact doesn't have oversight ability. So what we’ve said is we’re going to reach out to you –
What do you want? Do you want Karl Rove on TV or do you want the truth? Great choice, there. That's why we can't have a transcript - we won't get the truth?

btw: Three of the fired prosecutors are in the top ten in number of convictions obtained, of 430+ prosecutors.
