The mystery creator of the Orwellian YouTube ad against
Hillary Rodham Clinton is a Democratic operative who worked for a digital consulting firm with ties to rival Sen. Barack Obama.

The connection to the Obama camp, however, poses a public relations problem for the campaign. Obama has argued that he is a different type of presidential candidate who rejects negative politics.

The ad was guerrilla politics at its cleverest and had become the boffo hit of the YouTube Web site.

The 74-second clip, a copy of a 1984 Apple ad for its
Macintosh computer, has recorded nearly 1.5 million views, with an enormous surge in the past two days. The video's final image reads "BarackObama.com."

De Vellis remained hidden for weeks, protected by the anonymity afforded by YouTube and the absence of federal regulations governing most Internet political speech.

So, how long will it take before a left-wing loony claims this was orchestrated by Rove/the Republicans?

How fitting is it that a left wing kook puts out a vicious hit piece against Mrs. Clinton? Break out the milk duds and popcorn, this is going to be a hell of a campaign season!

Short bio of the creator of the anti-Hilary ad:

I would LOVE to chuck a sledgehammer at Hillary Clinton's head.

But I can't, those things are heavy you know...

... oh and something about the guy, uh, Phillip something whatever, I guess...

the difference is.... hillary is smart & ruthless enough to NOT get caught if she did the same thing (which she probably does).

I don't think the ad was intended to be funny. Mrs. Clinton doesn't have anything nearly resembling a sense of humor.

She definitely does.

And the icing on the cake is her team tried to pin it on "right wing nutjobs."

Good to see, it's about time the Dems were willing to fight as dirty as their counterparts. Well, that's a bit of an exageration, pinning Clinton as the establishment candidate in a clever ad reference is quite a bit different than tricking the voters into thinking your opponent has a black love child (versus adopted) or that your opponents wife is a sex crazed slut.

The Maddrassa thing is getting closer... assuming it was Clinton's team, which I'm not 100% convinved it was. Of course it was made famous by several right wing rags, but we don't seem to care about that part.

WTF? Sarcasm? I don't see how it's positive to see that.

Something else came to mind. How smart/tactful is a politician who makes public remarks about Ghandi running a gas station...
